The Christian and Missionary Alliance is a family of churches dedicated to fulfilling Acts 1:8 through making disciples of Jesus Christ. The Alliance South District has an opening for the position of Regional Assistant District Superintendent. This person will oversee church planting and church advance efforts throughout a portion of the district.
Responsibilities:
The Regional Director will assist the team in establishing and implementing a vision and strategy for making disciples and multiplying churches in a region of Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
· Contribute and lead the execution of a disciple-making and church planting strategy
· Effectively coach church teams in improving outreach, onboarding and discipleship systems
· Provide care and support to guard the physical, spiritual and relational health of our pastors
· Assist in the accreditation, consecration, and ordination process of new workers
· Assist with churches in pastoral transition
Basic Requirements:
· Willing to relocate to Georgia, South Carolina or North Carolina.
· Demonstration of a life and ministry that is grounded in dependence on the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
· Licensed, or willing to be licensed, as an official worker of the Alliance. Previous Alliance ministry experience preferred.
· Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in related field of study preferred.
· 5-10 years of pastoral experience required. Church planting experience preferred.
· Complete our district’s discernment/assessment process
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Demonstrated experience and high level of skill in coaching teams and individuals
· Demonstrated experience as a disciple-making and multiplying leader in the local church
· Experience and ability to relate and work in multiple ministry contexts i.e. urban and rural communities and with multiple ethnic backgrounds and languages
· Highly strategic, organized, and entrepreneurial with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
· Creativity and a willingness to try new approaches
· Established skills in crisis management and decision-making.
Team Dynamics: Work closely with the other Regional Directors and office staff and directly report to the District Superintendent.
