The Regional Director, Base Operations is responsible for providing operations leadership of assigned Endeavor Air maintenance base locations. The Regional Director leads a team of Base Managers who are responsible for the day-to-day operations and a team of supervisors, technicians, and support staff to ensure the safe operation and timely repairs with regards to all safety, regulatory, service, and communication requirements associated with their assigned bases.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for leading and directing activities that ultimately lead to achieving Flight Plan Goals.
- Build positive relationships within the department and across the organization.
- Leads and directs a team of base managers to ensure safety and operations standards are met.
- Works collaboratively with peer Directors to ensure consistency of practice and best practices are followed.
- Responsible for the maintenance and preventive maintenance of all locations, aircraft, components, and equipment.
- Determine airworthiness of aircraft and components using established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Demonstrate the maturity, judgment, and analytical ability to perform all aspects of aircraft maintenance and preventive maintenance on company aircraft.
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to by all areas of the maintenance department.
- Ensure work environment meets OSHA standards and assigned locations maintain a safe, neat, and orderly operation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to base managers on how to conduct and manage employee performance development and disciplinary actions.
- Monitor staffing levels to ensure bases are appropriately staffed and trained in accordance with the Company Maintenance Training Program and meet FAA requirements.
- Ensure implementation of new policies and maintenance programs are effectively implemented.
- Monitor performance to ensure the bases maintain an efficient operation.
- Maintain a professional relationship with the FAA and assist in gathering and/or providing information as requested.
- Requires contact with management staff and business relationships within the organization.

- Perform additional assignments, functions, and projects as assigned in order to achieve department and company objectives.

- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and related work experience.
- Possess valid Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license and have adequate training and professional experience.
- 5 years of front-line supervisory experience, 5 – 10 years organizational leadership experience.
- Must be experienced and effective in working with and managing a diverse and inclusive workgroup.
- Skilled at providing leadership and direction to staff to accomplish set goals.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (theory of constraints/LEAN) and the ability to leverage those techniques for continued improvement.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and abilities.
- PC proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time with a high degree of completion.
- Possess a valid driver’s license for use of company vehicle(s).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Must have knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, aviation safety standards, safe operating practices, and the Airline Operational Specifications.
- Repetitive motion such as: typing and phone work.
- Minimal physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 50 lbs.
- Work is performed at various indoor and outdoor maintenance facilities, including line operations and hangar locations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Can involve long periods of sitting.
- May be required to wear facial masks, take safety measures, or work remotely as necessary and as dictated by safety standards to help protect self and others in the workplace.
- Company business travel is necessary, approximately 60-80%.
