Based in Alsip, IL Company is looking to engage a motivated Regional Material Planner Manager to work closely in coordinating the supply chain aspects related to raw materials and components used in production. This includes analyzing forecast/production demand, managing inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of materials to support production and inventory strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for efficient supply chain operations within NA region.
This role plays a key role in optimizing the supply chain to meet production requirements, minimize costs, and support overall operational efficiency within the specified region. Additionally, compliance with regulations and sustainability considerations may be part of their responsibilities.
- Active ingredient long term material planning
- Supervise the MRP plans for all internal manufacturing locations.
- Validate MRP conformance to support production strategy for internal facilities and external manufacturing.
- Provide detail material plan forecast to procurement and finance.
- Active participation of monthly/weekly calibration meeting with procurement
Material Requirements Planning (active Ingredients)
- Responsible for the execution of the Material Requirements Plan for Active Ingredients in the agreed horizon including the preparation, review, and confirmation of planned orders.
- Timely conversion of suggestions to purchase requisitions and resolved exceptions.
- Provide an efficient material plan and align with relevant stakeholder as required site Production Scheduler and the Regional Supply Planner
- Provide accurate procurement forecast for relevant local materials and suppliers.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring and adjusting inventory levels to optimize stock while avoiding shortages or excess.
- Monthly reporting as required in alignment with the IBP process and continuous improvement activities.
- Accountable for aligning with internal company and global forecasting within the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle, ensuring seamless synchronization and collaboration.
- Responsible for the validation of MRP exception and the creation of recommendations to create a viable Material Requirements Plan
Qualifications
Qualification
- Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management Preferred or Equivalent Experience.
- 5+ years of Operational Supply Chain and Supply Planning in Materials Planning/ Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
- The ideal candidate will be able to manage and develop site planners in the use of tools and best industry practices.
- Previous Experience in Chemical Manufacturing Preferred
- APICS Certifications Preferred
