Long-Term Care Regional Nurse Consultant Opportunity!
Long-Term Care Healthcare Company is looking to find a qualified and experienced Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) to join our team and be a leader for our skilled nursing facilities!
We are looking to hire an exceptional Registered Nurse who will deliver on our promise to provide the ideal combination of quality care and value to our residents. We’re always on the lookout for nurses to help us fulfill our mission to serve seniors and we are currently recruiting for a Regional Nurse Consultant who will travel to provide help and support to our facilities.
The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.The primary purpose of this position is to advise facilities on opportunities related to nursing activities and health services: review and suggest changes in nursing organization and administrative procedures, analyze nursing techniques, and recommend modifications. This position requires travel between our various skilled nursing facilities.

Who You Are:
- 3-4 years experience working in a long term care / skilled nursing setting as an RN.
- Active Illinois RN license is required.
- Multi facility experience preferred but not required.
- Professional, dedicated, and knowledgeable with solid communication and teaching/training skills.
- Ability to communicate information to a variety of nursing and community care staff.
- Ability to ensure we are meeting regulatory standards and effects correctional measures as needed.
- This person serves on a team with other Regional Nurse Consultants to set direction and standards.
Your Job:
- Conducts on-site visits to assess each facility’s compliance with company policies/procedures and governmental regulations.
- Assists with the development and revision of clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and current standards of practice.
- Assists Administrators & DONs in educating, implementing systems, monitoring, and developing improvement plans in order to promote positive resident outcomes.
- Helps develop short and long-term goals and objectives consistent with company standards and governmental regulations.
- Acts as a support system to the facilities as needed throughout the state survey process, including assistance with survey prep, writing a corrective action plan, and monitoring for compliance.
- Works with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and Regional Director in the screening of applicants for nurse management positions.
- Helps train nursing department and facility management on governmental regulations and company policies and procedures when requested by facility.
- Partners with other consultation staff to develop and implement action plans to assist facility departments in improving compliance and collaborates with all compliance departments.
- Conducts preventative and complaint driven audits of clinical compliance issues at each facility.
- Completes and submits detailed facility visit reports and audit results specifying compliance issues ad corrective action to the Regional Director and VP of Clinical Services.
- Assess, trouble-shoot, and problem-solve to meet the needs of the facilities, residents, and clinical staff.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
