For more information on A-Gas, and our environmental journey, please go to www.agas.com/us.We are looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to work with our Rapid Recovery Network. This position will manage and lead by example the safety and environmental programs for the site locations within the network, to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws. EH&S Manager will oversee the maintenance and enhancement of comprehensive safety, health, and environmental program for a remote workforce with the goal of reducing work-related accidents and injuries and maintaining regulatory compliance. This will be a high-travel position that will require at least 50% of the time working in the field with the network teams. Reports toSr Director Network and OperationsKey ResponsibilitiesExemplify and model a safety champion culture. Encourage employees to live and follow our Spot On Safety values on a daily basis. Lead and maintain accountability to EH&S strategies for Rapid Recovery network locations, Work effectively with Plant EHS Managers and other business partners as necessary to ensure consistency in safety practices.Demonstrate a proactive approach to training and safety awareness, ensure all safety incidences and near misses are reported and investigated timely and appropriate parties are notified. Administer New Hire Safety training and ensure compliance with all company safety and training programs. Report on and regularly communicate stats, trends, progression on safety training, and serious safety events. Make recommendations and take a proactive approach with Rapid Recovery Network leaders on how to improve safety practices. Ability to make EH&S related decisions independently while maintaining consistent communication with LeadershipSkilled at developing and maintaining relationships while providing support to a remote workforce. Must be proactive and consistently maintain communication with all level of employees within the Rapid Recovery NetworkAbility to create and present information to employees both virtually and in person.Performs accident investigations to determine the immediate cause as well as root cause analysis; implements changes to correct and prevent reoccurrence. Develop and create job safety analysis for Operational Safe-Work Practices.Analyze risk, trends, and countermeasures to internal and external risk.Identify and implement tools, methods, and indicators to support and measure compliance with policies and progress to objectives.Perform regulatory assessments and audits of facilities and make recommendations for improvements.Lead by example and exemplify company Zero Harm policies.Other duties as reasonably requested. Experience, Knowledge, and QualificationsEssentialBachelor's Degree in Industrial, Occupational, or Environmental Health and Safety or 3-5 years experience in lieu of degree. Experience in successfully managing an Environmental Health and Safety Department.High proficiency in Job Safety Analysis, process documentation.Experience supporting a remote workforce in multiple statesMust be able to maintain effective communication virtually and in-personA sound understanding of and experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookMust possess a working knowledge and understanding of DOT, OSHA EPA, DesirableAn excellent understanding of the pressurized equipment directive and its requirementsExperience in dealing with regulatory bodies such as the US EPA, OSHA, and DOTWaste management training Experience of working within the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry Skills and CompetenciesLeadership, teamwork, and communication Interest and enjoyment in working with people effectively lead facility EH&S by example, demonstrating a commitment to the business and values, motivates employee's compliance, and sets clear expectations.
