Job Description

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is currently hiring a Registered Medication Aide (RMA) for Assisted Living.

We have job opportunities for:

• Full Time Day (7a - 7p)
• Full Time Night (7p - 7a)
• Part Time Day (7a-11a)
• Part Time Night (7p-11p)
• PRN (As needed)

**12-hour shifts are mandatory for all Full Time team members.
*Schedule is 3 days one week, 4 days the next with an every other weekend rotation.

What will I do?

Our Medication Aide performs duties according to accepted nursing practice necessary to provide the highest quality of resident care under the direction of licensed personnel. Empowers residents to function as independently as possible in a supportive environment. May serve as a team leader at times.

In this role you will:

• Provide complete care of assigned residents
• Dispense medications and provide personnel
• Document pertinent information in the resident's record, completes incident reports as needed

Relationships:

• The Medication Aide will report to either the Enhanced Services Supervisor or the Clinical Coordinator. Medication Aides are oriented and trained to work in all areas of Enhanced Services and The Chesapeake or be assigned to an area where she/he is the team leader reporting to shift supervisors/coordinator.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand or walk for up to four hour intervals
• Able to climb three flights of stairs
• Able to lift 25 pounds
• Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein
• Able to physically handle the Medication Cart

What do I need for this role?

• Current Registered Medication Aide (RMA) License in the State of VA (or compact state)
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License in the State of VA (or compact state)
• CPR and First Aide certification (or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
• Physically able to perform all aspects of this job
