• Schedule: Full Time Nights, Twelve Hour Shifts, Rotating Weekends, MS and ED shifts are 6p.m to 6a.m., ICU shifts are 7p.m. to 7a.m.

• Location: Pell City, AL

St. Vincent’s St. Clair hospital is in Pell City, AL. It is a 40-bed Med Surg and ICU hospital and a 12-bed Emergency Department. This position Floats to ICU, Med Surg and ED

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

Critical Care or ED experience preferred
