Ahava Therapy Services is hiring a Full-Time Physical Therapist for Cordova Wellness and Rehab Center. It is a 242-bed facility with short-term, long term and outpatient services. Be a part of an In-House Rehab team that is under outstanding leadership.
Responsibilities
- Transports residents to and from therapy by pushing them in wheelchairs and geri-chairs and by assisting them with ambulation
- Prepares treatment areas, equipment, and supplies
- Assists Director as needed
- Assists therapist/ therapist assistant in scheduling residents
- Assist with telehealth
- Assists in non-skilled treatment activities as directed by and under the direct supervision of the therapist /therapist assistant.
- Maintains a sanitation schedule for rehabilitation equipment and performs necessary sanitation tasks
- Maintains storage areas for rehabilitation equipment and supplies
- Performs clerical duties, including faxing, filing, photocopying, and shredding
- Maintains adequate levels of office supplies and treatment supplies
- Obtains physician's signatures on therapy plans of treatment within acceptable time frames per facility policy
- Files therapy documentation in the resident medical record accurately and promptly
- Maintains confidentiality of facility and resident information
- Respects all resident rights
- Complies with all facility policies and procedures
- Meets deadlines
- Maintains an efficient daily work schedule
- Displays sensitivity to the concerns of residents, other staff members, and other health care professionals and follows-up problems appropriately
- Collaborates with other team members to problem-solve
- Asks appropriate questions and seeks guidance when needed
- Requests feedback from other staff members when appropriate
- Reports all instances of potential resident abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of the resident property immediately
- Communicates effectively (orally and in writing as applicable) with residents, families, other staff members, and other health care professionals.
Qualifications
- CNA License
- Must have BLS CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
