About the Job
Our client in the energy efficient lighting industry is seeking a Inventory Specialist/Lighting Auditor on a full time salaried basis.
Location: Anywhere in the US; must be close to an airport due to heavy travel with this role
**This role is 90% travel. Please only apply if you are able to travel Monday morning up to Friday afternoon.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As an Inventory Specialist/Lighting Auditor you will to travel to customer sites (B2B) to audit their lighting and energy usage.
This is a physical job where you are carrying a ladder, climbing up and down it. You will be inventorying lights, taking pictures, and uploading this data into a system and spreadsheets. If you are self-driven, enjoy travel, and prefer to work in an independent role, this is a great role for you! Open to recent graduates.
Responsible for the examination and analysis of lighting and electrical surveys. Responsible for documenting existing conditions as it relates to lighting, lighting controls, and general electrical systems. The Lighting Project Auditor is held accountable for proper documentation, audit accuracy, overall quality, and adherence to their schedule and budgets.
• Perform audit process and work with sales to outline and define audit scope requirements. • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing audit results using provided templates.
• Provide high level of communication between customer and sales and project management teams.
• Scheduling and coordination of audit trips.
• Manage expenses during business travel.
• Maintain accurate account of audit schedules/status in master spreadsheets.
• Attend training programs as required.
• Assist in quotation, proposal and bid preparation.

Education: High school degree required.
• Valid driver's license required.
Physical Job Requirements and Working Conditions
• Ability to perform manual labor, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing ladders, lifting to 30 lbs, and regularly bend, stoop, lift and twist. Standing up to 12 hours per day.
• 90-100% travel. The Lighting Auditor will typically fly out Monday morning and return home Thursday night or Friday morning, documenting anywhere from 3-12 sites each week. • Autonomy to plan their own flights and hotel accommodations, most expenses are covered during the week, and all points and credit card perks are owned by the Lighting Project Auditor.
• Ability to complete off-shift work.
• Utilize personal credit of up to $5,000 for expenses to be reimbursed weekly.
