Title: IAM SME - Azure Entra ID
Location: Remote - EST Hours
Duration: 12-18 month project
Rate: Targeting $75 HR
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
The Azure Entra ID SME will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of Azure Entra ID (formerly known as Azure Active Directory) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in identity and access management (IAM) and a strong understanding of Azure cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement Azure Entra ID solutions to meet business and security requirements.
- Develop and maintain architecture and design documentation for Azure Entra ID deployments.
- Ensure seamless integration of Azure Entra ID with other cloud and on-premises systems.
- Manage and configure Azure Entra ID, including user and group management, role-based access control (RBAC) and/or attribute-based access control (ABAC) and conditional access policies.
- Implement and manage multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) solutions.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Azure Entra ID services.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices related to identity and access management.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits of Azure Entra ID configurations.
- Implement and manage identity protection and governance features, such as identity secure score and access reviews.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Azure Entra ID-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles.
- Provide training and guidance to IT staff and end-users on Azure Entra ID features and best practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure Entra ID configurations and processes.
- Stay current with the latest Azure Entra ID features, updates, and industry trends.
- Lead and participate in projects related to identity and access management.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and ensure timely completion.
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Azure Entra ID SME or in a similar role.
- Deep expertise in Azure Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and related IAM technologies.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and architecture.
- Experience with identity federation, SSO, MFA, RBAC and/or ABAC.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards related to IAM.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar are preferred.
