Pay Rate: $22-$25/hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Overtime or Weekend shifts may be available but are based depending on company needs
Description of Position:
Are you passionate about renewable energy and have experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, or quality assurance? Join our team as a Renewable Energy Testing Technician! In this role, you’ll conduct performance and stress testing on cutting-edge renewable energy equipment, ensuring safety and quality across all processes. You’ll follow detailed test procedures, log data accurately, and help maintain our lab’s efficiency and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct voltage and current testing using the correct equipment, procedures, and PPE.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and quality assurance guidelines.
- Monitor equipment performance, collaborate on improvements, and ensure maximum uptime.
- Help maintain and calibrate reference devices, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Organize and manage inventory of modules and test materials.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
- Install hardware, PV modules, and monitoring equipment.
- Keep workstations clean and organized.
- Complete additional tasks as needed to support the team.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
- Experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, or quality assurance is a plus.
- Self-motivated and able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in mixed environments (indoor office, lab, outdoor field work).
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work on rooftops in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.
Preferred Experience:
- PV, HALT, or power electronics testing experience.
- Familiarity with PV system site inspections and electrical plans/layouts.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- OSHA training certification.
- Experience with data acquisition systems and LabVIEW software.
