JOB SUMMARY
The Repair Supervisor role is responsible for supervising the work of durable medical equipment repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Supervises the repairs and maintenance of all oxygen and durable medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, liquid oxygen systems, hospital beds, wheelchairs, suction machines, apnea monitors, home transfill systems, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Pumps and CPAP's as well as the cleaning and processing all equipment to patient ready status.
+ Ensures equipment is repaired according to manufacturer’s, Joint Commission and Apria guidelines and in an efficient and timely manner to meet the Daily Build Plan requirements. Directs or delegates the task of assigning workflow in accordance with the daily build plan. Responsible for, directly or indirectly, the training and coaching of new technicians.
+ Ensures proper documentation of all repairs and maintenance on an Equipment Repair Order and timely submittal of these forms.
+ Responsible for the monitoring of parts stock levels and reorder function, check-in, and stocking. May include actual ordering in Apria inventory system. Responsible for successful physical inventory of repair parts and rental equipment.
+ Final approval in adjustment of equipment too expensive to repair to include all necessary approvals.
+ Communicates with manufacturers on technical and parts order related issues.
+ Responsible for working daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
+ Responsible for all HR related tasks and building maintenance requirements.
+ Shares responsibility of handling any facility inspections.
+ Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ This position supervised all subordinate employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management, hiring, and discipline of subordinate employees within the department in a virtual setting.MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
+ 1-year worth repair facility supervision or equivalent experience is required.
