Responsibilities for Field Service Technician
Customer Engagement: Meet with customers and utilize an iPad to assess the scope of work and identify necessary materials for thorough repairs.
Product Installation and Testing: Install new products and conduct tests to ensure optimal functionality.
Client Education: Educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of their home systems and equipment.
Maintenance and Support: Provide routine maintenance and exceptional customer support, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Problem Diagnosis and Solutions: Diagnose equipment issues and develop effective solutions for repairs.
Parts Ordering: Order any necessary parts for repairs to ensure timely service.
Documentation: Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate records of all services performed.
Issue Explanation: Clearly explain equipment issues and repair processes to customers, ensuring they understand the necessary steps.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance their experience and satisfaction.
Proactive Inspections: Utilize the Inspection Report process to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate account of all materials and equipment on hand.
Contract Coordination: Collaborate with the Production Specialist to prepare contracts for customers.
Service Promotion: Explain the benefits of subscription services to homeowners to enhance customer loyalty.
Customer Interaction: Provide peace of mind with every customer interaction, ensuring a positive experience.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Proven ability to install, repair, service, test, and troubleshoot various equipment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills to effectively interact with customers.
Equipment Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the equipment required for the job.
Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements: Must meet the physical demands of the job, including bending, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
