About the Opportunity
The Research Specialist will support ongoing research projects in studying mitochondrial dysfunction in cardiovascular disease and exchange the technical and scientific knowledge.

What you’ll do:
- Design and execute experiments to support ongoing research projects in studying mitochondrial dysfunction in cardiovascular disease and exchange the technical and scientific knowledge.
- Collect and analyze data using various scientific techniques and methodologies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of research findings.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and properly calibrated.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Use statistical software and tools to analyze experimental data and Interpret results and prepare reports.
- Collaborate with team members to refine experimental approaches based on data analysis.
- Participate in team meetings, presenting research findings and discussing project progress.
- Write and contribute to scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Assist in the preparation of abstracts, posters, and presentations for scientific meetings.
- Ensure all research activities comply with institutional and federal regulations, including ethical standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of research data and adhere to data protection protocols.
Qualifications
- Masters in Science or related field:
- A minimum six (6) months research/laboratory experience is required.
- Knowledge of laboratory environment and appropriate procedures
- Manuscript and grant writing
- Knowledge and ability to use and learn lab software/applications
- Good organization skills and self-motivation
- Familiarity with and adherence to laboratory safety protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to cardiovascular research.
- Ability to get along with others in a group setting.
