JOB DESCRIPTION:
Laboratory work is to be conducted using mice. The mice need to be bred, genotyped and treated for experiments. Some treatments require stereotaxic surgery. The mice need to be perfusion-fixed and brain sections stained. Microscopy needs to be conducted and data analyzed. Experience with laboratory mice and basic understanding of neuroscience laboratory techniques will be important.
JOB DUTIES:
• Breeding, genotyping of rodents
• Treatment of rodents for experiments
• Perfusion-fixation and histology of brain sections of rodents.
• General laboratory upkeep such as purchase forms.
• Microscopy and data analysis.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Bachelor's degree in neuroscience-related field
• Experience with mice/rodents as relates to research
• Experience in Neuroscience research
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn and work with others in a laboratory setting
Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:
