Resident Engineer at Zephyr Rail
Zephyr Rail, a celebrated name in the railroad design and construction management industry, seeks an experienced Resident Engineer to join our innovative team. Recently ranked among the best engineering firms to work for by the Zweig Group in 2023 and known for our groundbreaking use of technology in civil engineering projects, we offer a dynamic workplace environment geared towards professional growth and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications,
- Monitors Contractor progress against project schedule
- Negotiates settlement of changes and claims
- Coordinates outside agency support of contractor schedule
- Monitors Contractor Quality Control effort through daily inspections
- Oversees and coordinates staff functions
- Assigns inspectors tasks
- Holds Weekly Coordination Meetings with Contractor
- Assures maintenance of Project Records, Files and “As-Built” Data
- Prepares and issues daily and weekly resident engineer’s reports
- Monitors and enforces Contractor Safety Program
- Coordinates the design, permits and agreements with stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of Experience
- Registered Professional Engineer, preferred
- Authorized to Work in USA
- Rail experience a plus!
