Job Summary:
The Transportation Driver at Emerald Care Center Claremoreis responsible for safely and efficiently transporting residents to and from appointments, activities, and other destinations as required. This role ensures that residents receive timely, reliable transportation while maintaining the highest standards of safety and comfort.
Work Environment:
Role involves working both indoors and outdoors, including handling vehicle-related tasks and interacting with residents in various settings.
Responsibilities:
- Resident Transport: Safely transport residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, social activities, and other destinations as scheduled.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on transportation vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any issues to the maintenance department.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and facility policies regarding vehicle safety and resident transportation.
- Assistance and Support:Provide assistance to residents entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
- Record Keeping:Maintainaccurate records of transportation schedules, mileage, and any incidents or observations during trips.
- Communication:Coordinate with facility staff, family members, and external providers to ensure effective and timelytransportation arrangements.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, including coordinating with emergency services if needed.
- Customer Service: Exhibit professionalism and empathy while interacting with residents, family members, and facility staff. Address any concerns or special requests with a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License:
