The Residential Aide serves St. John's Hospice in such a manner that reflects a positive impact on the men who live at St. John's and the general public that sustains the mission of the commitment.
Focuses on, but is not limited to:
- Gives medications to residents
- Coordinates residents on needs, issues, and concerns with Case Managers, Program Manager, and Director
- Answers phone calls at the front desk
- Receives donations
- Writes shift reports, including incidents if any
- Substitutes for the shifts of co-workers if needed
- Attends both mandatory, as needed, and scheduled meetings and trainings
- Conducts monthly fire drills when requested by the Program Manager
Qualifications:
Education
- Minimum High School Degree or G.E.D. equivalent
Specialized Knowledge:
- Housekeeping
- Medication
Skills:
- Interpersonal relations
- Organization
Personal Characteristics:
- Mission driven

- Empathetic
Experience:
- 1-3 years working with the homeless population
