About the Job
To increase the value and desirability of Ocean Reef Club's membership and real estate by providing incomparable excellence in all services and facilities in the Ocean Reef Club community. Also, to represent the Solid Waste Department in a confident, professional manner, to complete tasks required for the efficient functioning of the stated department without direct supervision. Additionally, make minor repairs to Solid Waste vehicles, to collect and, process recyclable/refuse items throughout the Club.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide commercial and residential members with the following services in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in member's satisfaction.
- Refuse Collection
- Bulk Waste Collection
- Recycling Collection
- Card Board Collection
- Maintain Dumpsite
- All equipment is to receive a pre-trip inspection before leaving the yard, and you must turn in all inspection forms to management.
- Drivers are responsible for the safe operation and cleaning of their vehicles. Any problems should be reported to management.
- All associates will need to wear the personnel protective safety equipment supplied by the ORC.
· When drivers are finished with their route, they may be asked to help out on other
routes, wash equipment and, provide special service pick-ups.
· Schedule may change depending on business demands.
· Routes may change depending on staffing and business demands.
· All commercial containers must be deodorized.
· Residents must always receive a clean recycling bin.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licenses and Certificates: Must have a commercial driver license (CDL) class A or B, and must be able to present DOT medical examination card.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
- Knowledge of general safety operating procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to move and work throughout the Ocean Reef Club for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to grasp, lift, and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to perform these tasks consistently while bending, stooping, kneeling, standing and walking.
- Ability to properly operate a forklift, and front end loader.
- Due to the nature of the business, the sanitation attendant may be required to perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the manager, such as assisting fellow team members.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, or any other combination of education, training, or experience of at least two years that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
LANGUAGE
- Must be able to comprehend the English language and demonstrate the ability to express and exchange ideas through oral and written communication. Also, must be able to convey detailed and important instructions accurately, loudly, and quickly.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Basic arithmetic required.
REASONING ABILITY
- Must be able to set priorities and possess the ability to meet deadlines and exercise initiative within allowed limits.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to complete pick up route when other co-works are able.
- Complete Assistant Managers responsibilities on this absence.
- Assist Manager and Assistant Manager to complete different tasks.
- Take care of customer's needs and requests.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The physical
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to be on feet for most of an 8-hour day.

The engineering department is very demanding, fast paced and professional. The engineering department thrives on achieving the mission statement twenty-four hours a day. To achieve this statement the following must be done:

ATTENDANCE, APPEARANCE AND CONDUCT
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.
Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.
As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
