Since 1931, The B. F. Saul Company has been engaged in the acquisition, renovation, construction, and management of residential property in the Washington Metropolitan area. The Residential division is currently comprised of four luxury properties: The Waycroft (Arlington, VA), Park Van Ness (Washington, DC), The Kennedy-Warren (Washington, DC) and Lyon Place (Arlington, VA). Coming soon are The Milton at Twinbrook Quarter (2024) and Hampden House (2025). If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you to utilize those skills and more while offering opportunities for growth as a Lead Engineer with B.F. Saul Company and Affiliates at the historic Kennedy Warren property in Washington D.C.

Under the direction of the Chief Engineer, the Lead Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the property and providing superior customer service to all residents.

The Lead Engineer is responsible for performing various tasks including Central Plant Operations, split system heat pump repairs, building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, cleaning and other duties as assigned. This position will also be a mentor to our Apprentice Engineers.

*Attendance is essential to this position. The community is open 24/7, weekend work or overnight hours may be expected.

You will need five or more years of engineering experience and your DC 3rd class operating license and your CFC Universal certified pool operator's license with strong customer service skills and a high school diploma. You must be able to lift (60 lbs.) and safely move appliances, comfortable working with heights up to 25 feet, and experience in multifamily or hospitality environments preferred, but not required.

The rate for this position is $43.59 an hour and is part of the Local 99 Engineering Union. This is a non-exempt position that will be compensated for overtime.
