Title: Respiratory Clinical Specialist
Location: West Reading, PA
Job Type: Full Time\Permanent
Responsibilities:
• The Respiratory Care Clinical Specialist for Neonatal and Pediatrics educates and coordinator updates, orients, and provides in-service education to the members of the Respiratory Care Department in the area of Neonatal and Pediatrics care.
• This position provides respiratory care, clinical supervision, and departmental direction as may be required.
• The Respiratory General Patient Care Clinical Specialist reviews, organizes, develops, and provides education, competency, and orientation programs to the members of the respiratory care department.
• Assesses, organizes, and implements work assignments for the respiratory care staff. Evaluates and performs patient care.
• All clinical specialists provide respiratory care education for other departments in the hospital and oversee clinical rotations of respiratory care students.
• 40 hours/week, 10-hour shifts, every 6th weekend
• Will provide both direct patient care as well as oversight and supervision of Therapists.
Qualifications:
• 4 year/bachelor's degree
• 2 Years NICU/pediatric experience (Required)/4 years of experience preferred
• 5 Years respiratory care experience (Required)
• NRP Instructor preferred (will require within 6 months of hire-provided).
Certification and Licensure:
• PA Respiratory Therapist License
• CPR Certification
• NBRC Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT)
• ACLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• NRP (for Neonatal/Pediatric Clinical Specialist)
• NPS certification preferred.
