SUMMARY
This is a unique opportunity to join the RGH Pulmonary team as a Senior Respiratory Therapist, where you will serve in ambulatory and inpatient settings. Your strong knowledge, evaluations and recommendations are key to the successful treatment and comfort of patients. In this role, you will be responsible for performing all facets of Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) at the outpatient office in the Wilson building; and support advanced interventional bronchoscopies and all responsibilities associated assisting in procedures at Rochester General Hospital Bronchoscopy suite. Your technical ability and critical care skills will be both challenged and valued in this role.

ATTRIBUTES
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Careor equivalent certificate is required required
- Two (2) or more years of previous full time critical care experience in respiratory care required; part time and per diem experience will be pro-rated to determine eligibility.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct pulmonary function and other testing consistent with scope of practice, training and experience.
- Support and assist with advanced interventional bronchoscopies and other pulmonary procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the dynamic Pulmonary provider team as well as an interdisciplinary teams during complex procedures, including Anesthesia, Nursing, Pathology, Radiology, ad more.
- Learn and master support of Monarch Robot for navigational bronchoscopy, Endobronchial ultrasound guided bronchoscopy, Argon Plasma coagulation, Cryogenics, Fluoroscopy, and more.
- Care and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain procedure schedule procedures and inventory of supplies.
- Provides patient / family education regarding pulmonary diseases, sleep disorders, testing, treatments, and behavior modification.
EDUCATION:
AS: Respiratory Therapy (Required)LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist - The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), RT - Respiratory Therapist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
