A popular café in Princeton, NJ, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Café Manager to support daily operations and uphold a warm, welcoming environment for guests. The Assistant Café Manager will work closely with the management team to drive business success through efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and a motivated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing day-to-day café operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and customer service.
- Lead by example, providing exceptional guest experiences and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of team members, ensuring alignment with brand values and service standards.
- Manage POS and cash handling procedures, monitor daily sales, and reconcile end-of-day reports.
- Coordinate with kitchen and barista teams to maintain product quality and efficient service.
- Monitor supply levels, place orders as needed, and work closely with vendors to ensure product availability.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with social media and local marketing efforts to increase community engagement and drive foot traffic.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in café or food service management, ideally in a high-volume setting.
