Midwood Smokehouse is seeking a dedicated and experienced assistant manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our Raleigh location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering excellent customer service, and a deep appreciation for authentic barbecue cuisine & smooth bourbon cocktails.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, service, and food quality.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and motivate a diverse team of front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Customer Satisfaction: Continuously strive to exceed guest expectations, addressing feedback and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, including ordering and storage of supplies and ingredients.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgetary targets, labor costs, and revenue goals to optimize profitability.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in restaurant software and point-of-sale systems. Previous experience with TOAST preferred!
- Knowledge of bourbon and whiskey is a plus.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10-12 hours).
- Must have the stamina to work up to 55 hours per week.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to bend, stoop and lift up to 25lbs.
