Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Restaurant Controller to oversee financial operations within our dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with a passion for the food service industry. This role will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, managing budgets, and providing strategic insights to drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into restaurant performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, conducting audits as necessary.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business goals.
- Analyze sales trends and operational performance to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans, providing data-driven recommendations.
- Train and support staff on financial processes and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with restaurant management systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
