The Restaurant General Manager is responsible and Accountable for Administration, operation, and direct management of the restaurant.  Responsibilities for the GM include ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, providing exceptional internal and external guest service, monitoring food presentation and quality, leading our team members with a positive and engaging spirit, and effectively managing the outlet’s P&L. The GM’s overall leadership and partnership with the culinary and service staff is paramount to our success.     

This position reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage. 

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• The GM must create a strong partnership with the culinary and FOH staff as to ensure exceptional guest service, consistent dish presentation, and exceptional food quality
• Maintains open communication with staff and fosters a team spirit
• Works closely with the servers/hostesses and culinary staff to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, and that cleanliness exceeds expectations in both FOH and BOH
• Supervises and assists in guest service training for all Team Members
• Prioritizes guest service and provides ongoing training / ensures that all TMs understand the menu and emphasizes the need for personalized service
• Manages quality control of the service of food & alcohol
• Ensures quality assurance including timeliness of beverage/food service
• Evaluates and responds to guest trends, needs, issues, and comments
• Assists with the development of marketing strategies to drive new visitation, guest loyalty and VIP player and Host driven events
• Helps create venue awareness through social media channels
• Stays abreast of competitive trends/techniques and strives for continuous improvement
• Ensures that the outlet’s physical appearance/FFE is maintained in exceptional condition
• Ensures compliance with all regulations associated with food, alcohol and gaming
• Coordinates with the culinary team and purchasing to ensure that the outlet maintains appropriate beverage/food inventories
• Optimizes the controlling the cost of labor, food, and beverage
• Perform continuous process improvement for enhancing Asian guests’ amenities for the venue and support of gaming pit areas and retail opportunities
• Models professionalism that reflects our brand and Company values
• Other duties as assigned

Skills to Help You Succeed:

• Ability to analyze and interpret restaurant operational results.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Knowledge of sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission and an Alcohol Beverage Control card along with any required health certifications.
• Must be certified in alcohol awareness
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and cover an irregular work schedule
• Ability to analyze and interpret operation results
• Ability to perform assigned duties under pressure
• Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner
• Knowledge of budgeting, P&L review, percentages, variances, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must-Haves:

• Preferred, five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in restaurant management and supervision.
• Preferred, a four (4)-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position and an Alcohol Beverage Control card any applicable health certificates.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work long hours.
• Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning.
• Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily.
• Ability to handle multi-tasking-heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.
