Casadonna is a Coastal Italian-inspired restaurant developed in partnership between Groot Hospitality and Tao Group Hospitality. It is housed in the same Mediterranean revival building as Miami's historic Women's Club, located in the city's burgeoning Edgewater neighborhood. In fact, the name "Casadonna" is derived from the setting—it is a fusion of Italian words translating to "house of the woman."
Riviera-style Italian cooking serves as the heart of Casadonna's cuisine. The menu features the freshest and finest local and imported products, with signature handcrafted dishes. Plates are based around traditional recipes found in the coastal towns of Naples, Taormina, Bari, Positano and Gaeta, and each is presented in a contemporary fashion. Bespoke cocktails and an extensive wine list complement this approach.
Casadonna will seat up to 366 guests in both indoor and outdoor dining and bar areas, all of which have been visualized by the designer Ken Fulk. The atmosphere is lush, leafy, stately and golden, conveying both a nod to the site's legacy (The Women's Club building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974) and a reflection of modern Miami tastes. Design highlights include a tranquil indoor-outdoor flow (including a covered, high-ceilinged atrium), iconic paned and vaulted glass windows, original gates, elaborate chandeliers and distinctive floor patterning.

Job Description:
As a Restaurant Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to perform various maintenance and repair tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the restaurant premises. You will work closely with the management team to address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently, contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.
Job duties
- Conduct routine inspections of the restaurant premises to identify and address maintenance needs, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Perform repairs and troubleshooting on equipment, fixtures, and facilities, such as kitchen appliances, lighting fixtures, doors, windows, and furniture.
- Undertake carpentry tasks, such as framing, installing shelves, and repairing furniture. Perform painting tasks to maintain the appearance of walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards by inspecting and maintaining fire extinguishers, emergency exits, alarms, and other safety equipment.
- Maintain and service restaurant equipment, including refrigeration units, ovens, grills, and dishwashers, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, including tools, spare parts, and cleaning materials. Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as leaks, power outages, or equipment breakdowns, to minimize disruptions to restaurant operations.
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff and contractors to coordinate larger maintenance projects, renovations, or installations.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Provide regular reports to management on maintenance status and recommendations for improvements.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, scheduling guidelines, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in general maintenance, repair work, and facility management, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting, 2-5 years.
- Proficiency in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices for maintenance and repair work. Familiarity with restaurant equipment and systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing or kneeling for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with restaurant staff, management, and external contractors.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate maintenance needs and emergencies.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to maintenance duties.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work are desirable but not mandatory.
