Your day to day
Truly memorable restaurant experiences don’t just come from delicious dishes, fine dining and exquisite ambiance. Which is why we’re searching for a new Restaurant Server confident in delivering unforgettable experiences through a warm welcome, inspired recommendations and seamless service from starter to dessert and beyond. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Striving to make every meal truly memorable for our guests by serving up hight standards with our signature flare
Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.
Prepare food and beverages for service to hotel guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards.
Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
Perform side-work, and any other opening or closing duties as required. Ensure that wait staff stations are clean and maintained throughout shift.
Alert Outlet Management of any service and/or safety issues. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
May receive guest payments and process transactions as outlined in the cash and charge procedures as needed.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Coordinate with Bartender and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages.
Be ready to jump into other ad-hoc duties when your colleagues need your help.
Always follow safety procedures.
What we need from you
Fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling.
Strength – you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects like barrels and crates up to 50lbs (23 kg).
Literate – you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths.
Flexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
Experienced – Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations.
Compliant – as well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you’ll be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language.
Articulate – a great communicator, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.
