Server Tuesday - Sat (10a-8p) - Twin Lakes Community

JOB TITLE: Server, The Terrace & Blue Heron Pub

DEPARTMENT: Food Services

HOURS: Our dining venues operate from 10:00am - 8:00pm five days per week. Venue is closed Sunday and Mondays. Will be required to work Saturdays and an occasional Sunday. Holidays are mandatory.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for delivery of food service to residents, guest, and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Will accept meal requests, serve food and drinks and interact with patrons. Will serve proper food portions.
2. Set up all side work needed for meal service prior to meal times.
3. Will set up show plates with the Chef for each meal.
4. Will set up dining area for service and will buss tables and clean area at the beginning and end of the day.
5. Will use a variety of tools and equipment using traditional methods as well as using the dish washing machine.
6. Will stock items in all areas of the Dining Room and retrieve as necessary.
7. Will maintain table setting standards and keep tables clean.
8. Will follow all cleaning detail daily both in the dining room as well as the kitchen and record.
9. Reports all unusual conditions, behaviors, and/or resident reactions to the appropriate licensed personnel in a timely manner.
10. Responds and reacts in a kind, polite, and professional manner to residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervision.
11. Responsible for protecting any confidential information concerning residents, family, and/or the organization.
12. Must demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to all Safety procedures and facility Fire, Disaster, and Bomb Threat procedures.
13. Adheres to all organizational, departmental, and nursing procedures in the performance of position responsibilities.
14. Must attend organizational or departmental conferences, meetings and/or in-services as scheduled.
15. May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements

Physical requirements:

Continuous walking and/or standing, most lifting is of light nature but must be able to lift 25 lbs and must be able to push/pull wheeled serving carts and serving stations weighing 5 to 250 pounds.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience waiting tables/serving preferred.
