Established, yet growing at a rapid pace, they are urgently looking to hire a skilled Estimator to join their team.
Position Summary
The Estimator role is critical for the success of a restoration company, as they are responsible for creating estimates in Xactimate utilizing the program guidelines and IICRC standards.
They must be detailed oriented and understand commercial and insurance restoration industry. Having a basic construction background which includes basic understanding of building materials, flooring and other materials affected by wind, water, fire, smoke and other property damage causes will assist in being successful in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Inspect and scope jobs onsite-and work with Project Manager/ Crew Chief/ Lead Tech on scope of job
• Document loss with clear and descriptive job photos and upload into operating system/software
• Writes mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating software
• Communicates conversations and key information on the job using the notes feature in required software
• Estimates using carrier audit standards and manages the estimate based on feedback from client and customer
• Communicates with project manager/lead tech to ensure all required documentation is complete (photos, notes and documents signed)
• Record of Drying using mobile software
• Communicate w/ insurance companies, and adjusters via phone and email in a timely manner
• Manage all estimate documents and assess project risks
• Review quotes and estimates with the construction project team
• Addresses estimate exceptions in a timely manner
Estimator Qualifications:
• 3+ years’ experience in Commercial Restoration Construction Estimation
• Must possess a working knowledge of commercial restoration construction documentation
• General contracting knowledge a plus
• Ability to write and review contracts
• Proficiency in Xactimate software
• BS/BA in Construction, Engineering, or Business is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of Mold Remediation, Water Damage Restoration, Fire Damage Restoration processes Ability to produce timely results of high quality and accuracy
• Must have imagination and strong problem solving skills, with a strong technical orientation
• Ability to complete on-site sketches and take-off estimates, as well as in office estimating
• Ability to identify, correct and report unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards
• IICRC, FSRT, AMR, WRT Certifications a plus
• Must have a clean driving record and valid Drvier's License
