About the Job
Examples of specific types of desired experience include the following:
- Representing financial institutions and senior secured lenders in corporate bankruptcies and out of court workouts/restructurings and enforcement proceedings, contract disputes, avoidance actions and other types of commercial litigation
- Providing advice to clients on Uniform Commercial Code, federal and state regulatory compliance, and consumer and institutional regulatory compliance matters
- Conducting mediations, expert and Client witness depositions, and representing clients in hearings
- Drafting and negotiating restructuring documents, DIP financing agreements, and forbearance agreements
- Negotiating and preparing settlement agreements
The candidate should also possess impressive academic credentials; the ability to simultaneously negotiate and efficiently juggle multiple cases and other competing work demands; strong interpersonal, analytical, oral communication, research, and writing, editing, and proofreading, and organizational skills as well as superior negotiating skills; strong advocacy and motions practice skills, and an understanding of business, industry and market issues. The successful candidate will be available to work during non-standard work hours and work long hours when necessary.
Candidate must be a member in good standing or eligible to waive into the Illinois Bar.
