The Job
The Retail Media Coordinator will work with internal teams to serve as a co-pilot to create and execute retail marketing plans for online retailers such as Amazon and Walmart.com. This individual helps internally to build digital retail marketing recommendations and offers resourceful problem-solving, while leaning into internal client team relationships. The Retail Media Coordinator will help prepare digital media plans and execute retail media implementation with oversight from senior members of the team. The Retail Media Coordinator will have direct experience with managing ads and product listings on Amazon and other online retailers. Working with Backbone’s Senior Retail Manager, the Retail Media Coordinator will help maintain and grow this service.
The Work
- Manage paid search and display campaigns on online retail ad platforms such as Amazon and Walmart.com
- Perform keyword + audience research for campaign setup
- Support the build of retailer and ad mix recommendations that align with client goals and budgets
- Partner with team to develop test campaigns for budgeting and forecasting
- Creating copy recommendations for Sponsored Brands/Headline Search and Display Ads
- Help to determine client goals and work to achieve weekly and monthly KPIs
- Prepare necessary content for client status calls and support the relationship with clients
- Evolve processes and gain efficiencies across our client portfolio
The Essentials

- Bachelor’s Degree
- 0-1 years of work experience
- 1+ years of experience in Digital Retail Marketing including managing paid search, display, and/or catalog optimization for online retailers such as Amazon and Walmart.com and/or platforms such as Criteo and Instacart
- An understanding of brand store and product detail page content including titles, bullets, product descriptions, images, A+/enhanced content
- Experience with inputs outside of advertising to successful e-commerce, including: promotion planning, supply chain considerations, and omni-channel strategy
- Data-driven mindset and experience drawing insights from data using Excel or Google Sheets including familiarity with metrics such as cost per click (CPC), return on ad spend (ROAS), and share of search/voice (SOV)
- Detail-oriented with exceptional critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to work with strict deadlines, juggle multiple priorities, stay organized, and work effectively with multiple clients
- Communicate effectively at all levels
- Establish and maintain effective relationships interdepartmentally, as well as with those outside the team
- Computer skills for editing and writing; proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
- Willing to learn new things and challenge the norm
- Demonstrates the principles of marketing and advertising, along with media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements

Salary: $50k annually
