Retail Sales Associate - Boy Scouts of America

The Boy Scouts of America has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Sales Associate at our San Diego Scout Shop!

This position contributes to the successful daily operation of the San Diego Scout Shop by interacting with scouting customers to provide assistance with merchandise selection and demonstrations. The position is part-time (less than 30 hrs. a week). 

Responsibilities: 

• Provides excellent customer service in the store and on the phone.
• Assists customers with product selection and demonstration
• Processes customer orders through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Maintains a stocked, organized, and clean store.
• Safeguards BSA monies and merchandise.

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year's retail sales experience 
• 18 years or older
• Knowledge of Scouting Program
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. 
• Basic knowledge of math principles (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to communicate effectively through speech and writing
