About the Job
- Associates degree in Business, Accounting, or Other Equivalent Program
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Other Equivalent Program (preferred)
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a physician practice or related healthcare setting that may include job specific competencies such as but not limited to the areas of coding, patient accounting, compliance, registration, and quality measurement.
- At least 3-5 years’ management/supervisory experience required.
- Certified Coder (preferred)
- Ability to analyze and interpret data-Problem Solving/Analytical Skills
- Knowledge and use of Excel to quickly interpret large amounts of data; including pivot tables, vlookup, and other summary functions.
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively, acts within the chain of command, and utilizing positive verbal and non-verbal skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to educate personnel at all levels.
- Ability to document and design workflow processes.
- Demonstrate skills in Critical Thinking, Diplomacy, and Relationship building
- Communication Skills both oral and written.
- Knowledge of compliance and attention to detail.
- Manual dexterity and mobility.
- Prolonged, extensive or continuous sitting/standing/walking > 7 hours per day.
- Frequently per hour: bends; squats; kneels; twists; turns; and reaches.
- Near acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
- Ability to frequently drive to various practice locations.
- Primarily works remotely.
- Limited exposure to the risk of blood borne diseases when in clinics.
