Revenue Cycle Specialist - Hospital Collections - CornerStone Staffing

CornerStone Staffing has partnered with a leading healthcare organization in Frisco, TX . We are seeking candidates with Hospital Claims Follow-Up and Denial/Appeals experience to join their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting on and managing hospital claims, following up on outstanding balances, and handling denial resolutions. You will also ensure proper billing procedures and payment collection on hospital accounts, using UB04 claim forms and other relevant documentation.

Title:Revenue Cycle Specialist - Hospital Collections

Location:On-site in Frisco, TX (75034)

Pay: $24 - $28 (based on experience)

Schedule:Monday - Friday | 8a -5pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform follow-up on unpaid or underpaid hospital claims, including reviewing and correcting claims submitted on UB04 forms.

• Investigate, analyze, and appeal claim denials to maximize reimbursement, ensuring compliance with payer requirements and timelines.

• Prepare and submit appropriate appeal documentation, addressing any coding errors, medical necessity disputes, or contractual underpayments.

• Work directly with insurance companies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, to resolve claim discrepancies.

• Accurately document all follow-up activities, payer communications, and resolutions in the billing system

• Collaborate with internal departments such as coding, patient access, and accounting to resolve claims issues.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

• 4+ years of experience in hospital claims follow-up and denial/appeal work, including familiarity with UB04 forms and hospital billing procedures.

• Experience working with major payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Prior experience with Meditech (preferred but not required).
