As a Vice President covering Asset Management in the Model Risk Governance & Review (MRGR) group you will play a key role in conducting review and governance activities for all models in use within Asset management
Job Responsibilities
+ Take ownership for all aspects of model review and governance ensuring high standards for effective challenge.
+ Lead risk assessments and communication of model risk findings to senior stakeholders.
+ Write and manage production of high-quality validation reports evaluation of conceptual soundness of model design, reasonableness of assumptions, reliability of inputs, completeness of testing, correctness of implementation, and suitability of performance metrics.
+ Design and implement tests to measure the potential impact of model limitations or deviations from model assumptions and compare model outputs with empirical evidence and/or outputs from model benchmarks.
+ Stay abreast of financial market developments with an eye on their implications for models in use.
+ Engage in topical deep dives to enhance understanding of key topics and trends in asset management with a focus on creating value for stakeholders, the team and self.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities
+ Deep understanding of Asset management models and their application to alpha generation and risk management
+ Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and hands on ability to program in Python
+ Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written together with a proven ability to work on model-related issues.
+ Collaborative attitude with ability to interact in an engaging way with the current team and stakeholders at all levels of seniority
+ Risk and control mindset with the ability to ask incisive questions, assess materiality of model issues, and escalate appropriately
+ Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline.
