Land survey technicians aid surveyors in collecting information about terrain, property lines and boundaries that is later used in a variety of industries. Land survey technicians are professionals who work outdoors collecting land information that is used in cartography, construction or engineering. These technicians use surveying instruments, mark boundaries on property and stake constructions. They may also assist land surveyors with computer-aided drafting and math computations. This is an entry level position that requires no experience, but has gives the opportunity for advancement and on the job training.
