Commercial Roofing Superintendent
Company is seeking a qualified roofing superintendent to facilitate and manage large scale commercial roofing projects, sometimes including outside of the state. Our ideal candidate will have experience working in the roofing related field for a minimum of 3 years, with at least 5 years in a construction related field. Additionally, applicants must have a strong track record managing crews, directing personnel, and running projects from start to finish.
This position will require traveling; however compensation will correlate with travel schedule. The ideal candidate would be able to commute to our main office. This is a very rewarding position and there is room for advancement, as well as bonuses and other job-related benefits.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise crew on job sites.
- Responsible for the overall safety and quality of each job. This includes checking for water tightness, tools left on roof, and ensuring job site is complete and has been cleaned up properly. This can be delegated to Foreman, but the Roofing Superintendent is responsible in coordinating punch list and job close out before crew leaves job site for the last time.
- Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences, and culture.
- Work in partnership with PM to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
- Attend jobsite meetings including final inspections, where possible or necessary.
- Communicate all aspects of job status i.e. extras, schedule delays, etc. with client.
- Controlling and prioritizing multiple activities while handling multiple projects.
Requirements:
- Bilingual, preferred but not required
- Must have 2 years of experience working in construction related field as a PM/Superintendent role
- Must have exceptional communication skills and be extremely detail oriented
- Must have ability to control all aspects of project from beginning to end
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be able to lift at least 30lbs
- Must be able to work outside in the heat
- Must have an excellent attitude and be at work on time
