SBA Credit Underwriter at Paradise Bank

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for assisting in providing quality loans by underwriting and evaluating small business loan applications.

General Responsibilities

• Analyzes applicant’s financial status, property value, and credit history and determines feasibility of granting loan.
• Confers with loan officer to aid in resolving application issues.
• Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes loan recommendations to management.
• Audits loan files prior to and after funding is obtained.
• Manages financial information files to assure reports, statements, and review are updated.
• Keeps electronic records of files and scans loan documentation into electronic scanning system.
• Completes additional responsibilities assigned by SBA manager as needed.

Experience and/or Education Requirements

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of commercial lending experience in a banking environment is required. SBA loan experience is preferred. 
• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or equivalent experience is required.
• Must be detailed oriented, have good time management skills, ability to work independently, and strong customer service skills.
