Description: Our client is currently seeking a SENIOR VENDOR RISK MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST:

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, and create mitigation plans for third-party risks through the Vendor Risk Management Program.
• Conduct vendor due diligence, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (business owners, technology, information security, finance, compliance, and legal) to identify and assess third-party risks, implement controls, and monitor ongoing risks and mitigation efforts.
• Provide third-party risk analysis, reporting, and support to key stakeholders, including business owners, internal subject matter experts (SMEs), and vendor partners.
• Champion the enterprise risk management approach and provide guidance on third-party risk-related matters.
• Develop and deploy third-party risk management tools, practices, and policies.
• Provide key inputs into risk management committees overseeing third-party management processes.
• Support all Vendor Risk Management (VRM) activities to proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for vendor risk management.
• Develop and direct third-party risk assessment and ongoing performance monitoring practices and procedures.
• Provide third-party/vendor risk management advisory services, education, and training to leaders and business units.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and management briefings on relevant issues, risks, or trends.
• Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and practices to reduce costs, improve internal controls, and drive efficiencies.
• Contribute to risk committee materials, including creating and updating third-party risk management reports and presentations.
• Analyze vendor profile information to determine tier/risk level classification.
• Coordinate the completion of vendor questionnaires and due diligence requests with business owners.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in vendor/third-party risk management, audit, compliance, or risk management in a financial institution.
• Experience designing and implementing third-party/vendor risk management programs or processes is preferred.
