Job Overview:
The Security Analyst Security Operations is responsible for performing operations and incident response tasks as well as participating in sessions related to troubleshooting issues with RWJBH end users. The Security Analyst will monitor, and work alerts generated via our security platforms, document their findings and resolutions while escalating to leadership where appropriate. A successful candidate is expected to continually ask questions to be knowledgeable about our environment and use critical thinking skills to suggest enhancements to the security tools and systems used at RWJBH.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ 1 2 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
+ Knowledge of current cyber threats and trends, APTs, and the MITRE ATT&CK and NIST Frameworks.
+ Interest in gaining hands-on experience with managing/maintaining AV/EDR, DLP, firewalls and additional security tools and procedures
+ Understanding of Windows, Linux operating systems, and networking protocols
+ Familiarity with standard commands to interact with various firewalls.
Preferred:
+ Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity desired
Certifications and Licenses Required:
+ Must have or in the process of earning one or more of the following certifications:
+ CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CySA+**, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER, PenTest+, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP, GSEC
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Full-time, Day
Essential Functions:
+ Participating in the planning, design, enforcement and audit of security policies and procedures which safeguard the integrity and access to enterprise systems and information assets.
+ Maintaining knowledge of changing technologies and providing recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies.
+ Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.
+ Provides management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise them of critical issues that may affect customer or corporate security objectives.
+ Responsible for acting on security violations, following an incident response process to mitigate risk stemming from security incidents.
