Job Summary
Foodbuy is looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our organization to support the sourcing of Front of House, Grocery, and Center of Plate categories. This position manages regional procurement with a level of technical and supply complexity. Duties will include leading the process of a regional supply market understanding, supplier search and selection, contracting, and ongoing supplier relationship management. The role will implement regional procurement strategy and lead cross functional teams to execute cost savings (and inflation mitigation) value, mitigate supply risk, and contribute to increased delivered profit. The role is located in Charlotte, NC and will be hybrid coming into the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Responsibilities:
* Leads the negotiation and contract management of tactical and/or abbreviated volume purchase agreements with guidance.
* In conjunction with the key business stakeholders, conduct activities relating to negotiating, evaluating & selection of suppliers.
* Analyze and interpret numerical data and perform basic financial analyses and price benchmarking activity.
* Negotiate and deliver cost reductions, as well as year-over-year productivity improvements while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier service levels.
* Analyze and monitor market conditions and industry analysis for assigned contracts to identify opportunity to improve cost of goods/business profitability, forward buys, market purchasing timing, risk management and spot-buy negotiations.
* Implement best sourcing processes and tools e.g. traditional RFQ/RFP/RFI, online auction, collaborative sourcing, multi-even negotiations, etc.
* With limited supervision, assumes responsibility for managing/coordinating RFx responses/bids through the entire process or as a team member to complete the response.
* Identify and assess potential supplier pool to assure alignment with the strategy in terms of cost, capacity, and performance.
* Participate in facilitation and leading of cross-functional projects with key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction and risk mitigation tactics as well as implementation plans while maintaining and improving internal client satisfaction.
* Develop and manage project plans to ensure completion of required activities and achievement of business needs in the agreed timescales.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
* 4+ years proven management experience in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Sourcing role with a track record of solid management behavior and results.
* Effective written & verbal communication skills
* Project Management skills / experience
* Ability to manage multiple priorities among cross-functional teams.
* Proven customer focus orientation
* Proven advanced & methodical analytical skills using large data sets.
* Exposure / Experience managing P&L or budget.
* Experience negotiating contracts.
* Leadership role in project, event, or team scenario
* Advanced Microsoft & Word proficiency
* Up to 10% Travel Annually
