The SR Python Developer Role 

We’re excited to find the ideal fit to join our engineering team at Thirty Capital. We’re searching for someone to help build out exciting new products and maintain our core software platform!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping us develop a wide variety of projects leveraging PostgreSQL, Django and Python. This is a small team where you will have an impact!

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for writing structured, clean, reusable, and testable code using Python and Django.
• Ownership of your projects from start to finish: ensuring that development activities are on a target path.
• Able to work both in a team environment and as an individual contributor.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions and be able to translate business needs into solutions.
• Collaborate with internal partners to anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and track and monitor trends to proactively solve problems.
• Use a variety of technologies across the entire backend software stack.
• Your work will transform an entire industry.
• Performs other duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years leveraging Django with Python.
• 3+ years of experience in Postgres.
• Strong understanding of basic software design patterns, unit testing, object-oriented language principles, functional language principles.
• REST based API's.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Competency in JIRA, Lucid Charts, Figma, Google Suite and/or Microsoft applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, mathematics, and statistics, or equivalent work experience.
• Bonus if you have experience with startups or fintech.
• Experience with Co-Pilot.

Location:

• The preferred candidate will reside in Charlotte or Atlanta.
• Occasional travel to Atlanta for in-person team gatherings.
• Must be authorized to work in the US/Sponsorships are not available. Corp to Corp is not available.
