Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region (BGCPPR) is looking for an energetic and passionate STEM Coordinator to work with ages 5-18 within our traditional Club locations. BGCPPR offers amazing opportunities and programs to the youth of the Pikes Peak Region and great career advancement and training opportunities to BGCPPR staff members. BGCPPR needs someone who is just as excited as our organization to change and impact their lives!

Pay Scale: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour.

Duties:
- Planned, implement, and document successful Boys & Girls Club STEM programs.
- Ensure all grant requirements are met including, but not limited to, enrollment percentages, community partnerships, and evaluation.
- Report on assigned program outcomes, activities implemented, and success stories in writing to Branch Director in advance for Monthly Site Report.
- Adhere to policies and procedures in a proactive manner, making the safety and care of children your primary focus.
- Maintain and submit all proper record keeping of program attendance, snack counts, and half-hour trackers.
- Responsible for submitting requests for the purchase of supplies and equipment to the Branch Director as needed.
- Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).
- Use 3D printers, tablets, and other Club technology resources.
- Participate in BGCA national programs and training as necessary or desired.
- Support marketing efforts with pictures and/or videos for special events, social media, Web posts, or other needs as requested.
- Assist in the recruitment of teens to participate in STEM programming.
- Develop relationships and coordinate partnership efforts (museums, libraries, corporations, schools, etc.) to develop field trips, volunteer engagement opportunities, curriculum partnerships, etc.
- Communicate with local school staff, teachers, and counselors about STEM programming.
- Build a positive relationship with each club member in your care and foster positive connections between participants.
- Conduct yourself as a professional and representative of the organization with school staff, parents, children, and anyone else with whom you come into contact in your role.
- Maintain and enforce rules and behavioral policies.
- Inspect and clean, on a daily basis, facility, and equipment. Check supplies and be sure all are accounted for and request more supplies if running low.
- Actively participate in all aspects of staff or member development, weekly team meetings, pre-service training, and an additional 15 hours of training during the school year.
- Participate in special programs and or events. These events may be scheduled at times when the club is not open.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or related field; or exhibit at least two years of continuous experience working and/or volunteering in a STEM-related field.
- Experience working with youth ages 5-18.
- Must at least be available during business hours of 1:30 am to 730pm on Monday through Friday.
- Must submit to and pass a drug test (marijuana included) and background check.

We operate two after school youth development programs and two before & after school child care programs in the Pikes Peak Region, serving approximately 1,400 youth with nationally acclaimed programming.
