Job Summary



Position Overview:

As a Steward Ambassador for Event Operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the dish room during events hosted by our establishment. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene, supporting kitchen operations, and contributing to the overall success of each event by ensuring the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.



Key Responsibilities:

Dishwashing and Sanitation:

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment.

Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

Inspect cleaned items to ensure they meet established cleanliness standards before storage or reuse.





Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance tasks on dishwashing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dish room, including storage areas and equipment surfaces.





Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with conference set-up team members, meetings and events coordinators, and other team members to manage dishwashing schedules and priorities.

Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of clean dishes to designated areas.

Support other kitchen and event operations as needed.





Customer Service:

Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with event attendees, staff, and vendors.

Respond promptly to any customer inquiries or requests related to dishwashing or sanitation concerns.

Proactively address any issues or concerns raised by customers regarding cleanliness or hygiene standards.





Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment during events.

The role may involve exposure to hot and humid conditions, as well as cleaning chemicals.

Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks.

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced event or hospitality environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.





Skill and Knowledge Requirements Include

High School Diploma or GED required.

Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people.

Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities.

Ability to learn and develop new skills.

Ability to problem solve.
