SaaS Company seeks Controller at Creative Financial Staffing

Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a SaaS company to identify a Controller to join their growing team. This is a remote position.

Why the Controller opportunity?

1. The Company: Growing SaaS company with $25M in revenue transitioning from an entrepreneurial stage environment to a sophisticated financial organization.
2. The Growth: Profitable company with that grew 25% last year and is forecasted to grow another 20-25% this year.
3. Opportunity: As the right hand to the CFO, the Controller will be charged with building out the accounting/finance administration infrastructure to scale with the company’s growth.
4. The Exposure: The Controller will be expected to operate through all levels of the organization and align processes and systems to fully execute the company’s growth strategy.
5. Compensation: $140-150K

The Controller’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day financial management of the company including: the preparation of the monthly financial package; management of GL accounts, annual audit and submission of government and related tax returns; and financial planning.
• Develop and implement business process improvement initiatives and strategies.
• Further develop guidelines and processes corresponding to the rapid growth of the company.
• Continually review accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the company is compliant with GAAP and statutory accounting

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
• C.P.A., M.B.A. or master’s degree in finance is preferred, but not required.
• 7+ years of total experience. Must have hands-on experience working in an accounting and financial management function in a high growth company.
• SaaS experience highly preferred.
• Experience establishing and implementing process improvement initiatives within a high growth environment.
