Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Safety Manager to oversee safety operations at our Tampa, Florida location. The Safety Manager will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment across multiple service lines. Reporting to the General Manager, you will collaborate closely with Managers and Associates to ensure compliance with safety training, procedures, and regulations set forth by company policies, customers, and governmental agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the Safety functions and strategies of Road & Rail Services' health and safety programs across various teams and service lines.
- Conduct behavior-based compliance audits to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Perform Knowledge Assessments and On-the-Job Evaluations (OJEs).
- Assist with incident investigations to determine root causes and participate in corrective action planning and follow-up.
- Review and update safety programs, policies, and training materials in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct routine Hazardous Assessments to identify site-specific safety requirements.
- Analyze safety data trends and prepare reports and presentations on Safety performance.
- Lead and assist in Safety Committee meetings.
- Provide safety orientation training for all new hires and coordinate ongoing safety training for all Associates.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a safety role (required).
- OSHA 30-Hour and MSHA training (required).
- Experience in Mine Safety (preferred).
- Bilingual proficiency (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
