Job Title: Construction Safety Manager (Philadelphia, PA)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 6 Months (Immediate Start)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $60/hr
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Hours: 40hrs 0600 - 1430 M-F
Project Scope:
The Construction Safety Manager will oversee the safety of mid-rise student housing, including rigging, Heavy Lifting, crane work, poured cast concrete, and Fly-in Panels-Close Union work (JSAs, Site Walks, Audits, safety enforcement, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6+ years in construction safety management and High-rise/mid-rise experience
- Certifications: CSP/CHST/CHSO or OSHA 510
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
