Position Summary:
The Hearthstone sales counselor is a self-starting, impeccable communicator who is motivated by accomplishing individual and departmental goals while respectfully interacting with the organization’s prospective residents.
The ideal candidate must possess exemplary presentation skills while showcasing The Hearthstone’s unique value propositions to prospective residents, leading them through the process from becoming a prospect to becoming a resident. They must be able to problem-solve and manage multiple simultaneous and sometimes complex sales situations that are nuanced, involve confidentiality and usually involve multiple decision makers (stakeholders) for a single transaction. The ideal candidate must have the ability provide clear and concise answers to a myriad of questions in these and other situations. The primary goal of the department at large is to achieve and maintain occupancy goals set forth by the chief executive officer and board of directors.
This is not a Work from Home position. It requires in-office attendance.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform sales activities and support the overall sales and marketing department’s efforts.
- Function as part of a team, led by the sales and marketing director and supported by a move-in coordinator, to provide prospective residents and stakeholders with seamless customer service from inquiry through move-in.
- Schedule sales appointments most convenient to the needs of the prospective resident and the stakeholders involved in the decision-making process.
- Conduct presentations to prospective residents and stakeholders involved in the decision-making process.
- Engage in relationship sales techniques including:
- Develop and maintain rapport with prospective residents to establish a relationship and further the sales process.
- Anticipate and identify prospective residents’ needs and recommend solutions that match those needs.
- Ability to field and effectively answer questions from a variety of stakeholders, including prospective residents, their adult children and other decision makers.
- Respond to leads, prospective residents and referral sources in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the collection of all necessary documentation, deposits and agreements required for residency.
- Use approved lead tracking system and maintain accurate records for use in sales and marketing reports.
- Participate in community marketing and sales events and meetings.
- Maintain operational, competitive and community knowledge in order to respond effectively to co-workers, residents, prospects, families and the general public.
- Exhibit professionalism and honesty at all times.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of The Hearthstone.
- Perform other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization with overlapping roles and responsibilities.
