Position Summary
The Sales Engineer should be a technology and solution advisor with pragmatic experience in cyber security. The SE will act in many ways as a solution consultant that can speak to the security landscape, architectural models, and solutions credibly, and possess the ability to discuss and present to senior client stakeholders. In short, the SE owns the technical win in all sales campaigns.
As a GoSecure Sales Engineer you will be responsible for presenting GoSecure’s products to prospective customers, creating and delivering demonstrations of the products, gathering customer technical requirements, creating evaluation test plans with customers, and then managing the evaluation process to a successful conclusion.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work directly with our sales team from initial discovery to deal close to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rate
- Oversee and participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing technical overviews and highly technical Proof of Value engagements for both existing customers and new sales opportunities
- Be the direct conduit translating customer challenges into technical solutions, positioning GoSecure to solve those challenges
- Function as a technical expert throughout Sales engagements, ensuring that tactical motions in the pre-sales and POV process line up with strategic account goals
- Partner with delivery teams (MSS/MDR) to ensure maximum technical effectiveness and consistent customer experience throughout the POV process
- Consistently address our customers’ needs through astute verbal, written, & presentation skills
- Build, manage and maintain relationships with the customer, in addition to relationships with peers and partners
- Operate as a keystone in the sales model, working with the Sales, Marketing, Product, and MSS organizations to improve effectiveness and efficiency throughout the customer lifecycle
Requirements and Experience
- 5+ years of sales engineering or equivalent experience in the industry
- Prior experience developing and presenting technical sales and support material to technical audiences
- Strong presentation, analytical, written, and verbal skills required
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Theoretical and practical application and understanding of Windows and Linus/Unix system administration, operating systems
- Theoretical and practical application of TCP/IP Networking, IP addressing, LAN, WAN, DNS, Email, and other networking products such as Proxy Servers, Firewalls, Routers and Switches
- Familiarity with network security, e-mail systems and firewalls
- Experience designing and troubleshooting networks preferred
- Previous experience as a Network administrator a plus
- Cyber Security focused certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.) or equivalent knowledge
- BS Computer Science or BS Engineering or equivalent knowledge
- Some travel may be required

Qualifications

- De solides compétences en matière de présentation, d'analyse, de rédaction et d'expression orale sont requises.
- Capacité à faire preuve de discrétion et d'indépendance de jugement
- Application théorique et pratique et compréhension de l'administration des systèmes Windows et Linus/Unix, des systèmes d'exploitation
- Application théorique et pratique de la mise en réseau TCP/IP, de l'adressage IP, du LAN, du WAN, du DNS, du courrier électronique et d'autres produits de mise en réseau tels que les serveurs proxy, les pare-feu, les routeurs et les commutateurs.
- Familiarité avec la sécurité des réseaux, les systèmes de courrier électronique et les pare-feux.
